Neil Barrett.

I haven't done runway fashion in a minute, but thanks to a snippet of Neil Barrett's new line I fell in love with, I have to revert back to showcasing a simple new line that I just... LOVE.

I could do this with black shorts, black skinnies, black leather skirts... boots.
Oh good God.
The combinations going through my head right now.

Fashion is so fun.

Black and White.

This month... is nearly over and it's been a whirlwind.
Even with conscious effort to 'take it slow' (whatever that means), I have found this first month has just flown by...

So I am also then making a conscious effort to slow things down when I feel the ground shifting under me.
Time with my two sisters always makes things better.

So that is all I did today.
{Leather Pants: Michael Kors, LA/NY tank: Brandy Melville, Faux Fur Coat: Love Spray, Combat Boots: F21}

I've been on a black and white fix lately.
With one of my favorite fashion icons being Kate Lanphear, Style Director of Elle, I can't ignore the simplicity of my two favorite colors combined in every which way.

Love. Her.

It was a bit chilly today given all the rain we've been seeing in LA lately.
So a light faux fur coat over a comfy black on black outfit was the key for today's look.

One of my favorite Cheap Monday rings

I love blogging on Sunday nights.
It gives me an opportunity to scroll through some great inspiration for me to share with you in hopes that it gives you a little pick-me-up for our Monday to come.

Sweaters.

This year, one of my fashion resolutions has been to wear clothing that is more comfortable.

I have a pretty high threshold with uncomfortable shoes and clothes in the name of style, but as another year turns, I have found that cool sweaters & jackets are the answer to keeping an outfit both comfortable and street chic.

January 7, 2013
{Skinnies: Zara, T-shirt: Old Navy, Camo Jacket: Old Navy, Shearling Boots: MakeMeChic, Sunnies: Oliver Peoples, Leather Gloves: H&M, Necklace: F21}
Black, White & Gold
Jacket on.

January 8, 2013
{Tiger Sweater: ASOS, Green Jeans & Brown Clutch: Zara, Brown Ankle Boots: F21}

This is by far one of my favorite sweaters of the winter.
We've been seeing a lot of el tigre material, but I love the colors.

January 9, 2013
{Sweater: Topshop, Denim Shorts: Levis, Red Converse, Infiniti Scarf: Gap, Neon Wristlet: Gap}

I love this sweater.
I could wear it every. day.

January 10, 2013
{Sweater: SteezyFleet, Leather Pants: Michael Kors, Faux fur scarf: Michael Kors, Combat Boots: F21, Beanie: F21}

I love this sweater.
Being a NorCal native, and SoCal girl to stay, I have to say... the west really is the best.

January 11, 2013
{Denim Shorts: F21, T-shirt: Gap, Plaid Flannel: F21, Leather jacket: Zara, Animal Print Sneakers: Converse}

Layering with leather and plaid is also a favorite winter(ish) look
LA all day.

January 12, 2013
{Blazer: Zara, Skinnies: Zara, T-Shirt: Gap, Necklace: Number A Boutique}
Blazer'd up for a presentation at work

Later that night, I attended a wine party hosted my by my friend Monica
However, she is not in this picture because she is too busy playing amazing hostess.
So there is me, Amanda & Jenny.
Love these ladies.

Did you know I love photbombs?

January 13, 2013

To seal my weekend, I finished with a new manicure.
I'm into the new gel mani's and I'm kind of in love with it!

Black and white.
My favorites.

Then it was off to Brazilian BBQ night with the ladies
{Skinnies: Zara, Spiked denim jacket: Topshop, NASA tank: F21, Wedge Sneakers: Fashion District, Scarf: Gap}
Now, I don't mess around when it comes to Brazilian BBQ.
So this is a very strategic outfit with lots of stretch and loose clothing to allow for as many cheese breads as I want!

Heading out!

With one of my besties Amanda!

And I leave you with a pair of boots I can't seem to get out of my little head

These Vince Camutos have my heart.

And I'm happy that my friend Tracy returned from a lengthy trip from Taiwan.
I swear, my friends know just what to get me!
So cute!!

Alrighty.
Well, it's Martin Luther King Jr. Day so I cannot end without leaving with one of his many fantastic quotes:

Good question.
Food for thought.

Have a good one!!

Fit.

I know we all start off the year with great intentions to lose x amount of pounds and brand a new lifestyle for ourselves.

I am one of those people.

But rather than putting a number to it (because it does not define us), I'm choosing to eat healthy instead.
Which is a huge challenge for me because I happen to love all foods unhealthy.

So instead of gorging in the deliciousness of fatty sweet foods, I will eat vicariously through my wishful thinking...

Thankfully, the tea one I can really manage.

I hope you enjoy my Three Little Things.

More fashion posts to come!

Newness.

Friends, it's been a grand start to the new year.
How has your time been?

As anticipated, there has been a lot of activity already and I can gratefully say it has been a blessed time thus far...

December 31, 2012
{Shorts: MakeMeChic, Wedge Boots: MakeMeChic, Gloves: H&M, Plaid Shirt: Mossimo, Scarf: Gap}

I've been on a kick with men's clothing.
There's something about the way it fits and looks that's appealing to me.
Pair masculine with feminine and I'm sold.

With New Years Eve plans botched due to some issues with my eyes :(
I opted for a calmer New Years Eve with someone special and then woke up on time for the family shindig

As traditional Korean New Years celebrations go, we ate a grotesque amount of dumpling soup and played games and had laughs with cousins and fambam.

As I get older, I realize more and more the importance of family value and am so grateful my parents ingrained that in us as children.

The holiday craze is now behind us and I'm thankful for the most enjoyable series of holidays yet.
I'm already looking forward to 2013's.

January 2, 2013

{Jacket: ADIDAS, T-shirt: Gap, Denim shorts: F21, Boots: Jeffrey Campbell Litas}

With temperatures dropping, I had to rehaul my winter wardrobe to make sure I could stand galavanting around town without catching a cold.

January 3, 2013
{Jeans: 7 For All Mankind, Sweater: F21, Combat Boots: F21, Scarf: Gap, Bag: Marc Jacobs}

The beauty of your million shades of gray in your closet, because really, there's not a single pair that perfectly matches, is that we can mix it up and it's still amazing.
January 4, 2013
{Denim: Zara, Sweater: Nordstrom, Boots: MakeMeChic, Scarf: Gap}
It was one of those days.
My bangs were not my best friend.
Top knot it is.
You know what I mean?

January 5, 2013
{Skirt: H&M, Turtleneck: F21, Heart tights: Topshop}
Dressed up in my favorite color of the season ox blood for a night out with my gal pal.

January 6, 2013
