Holiday Craze.

I feel as though the end of the year always zips right by us in a flurry of dinners, parties, get-togethers, wrapping up work, etc.

It has never felt slow and well spaced out, but I have to say that I rather enjoy the frenzy the holiday brings.
That plus being surrounded constantly by friends and family at events makes for a very fun end of the year with tons of fashion to consider in dressing up.

Lately, I've been having so much fun with my outfit of the day posts on Instagram (@PrettyStems)
And the support and love from fellow IGers is so amazing!

I draw inspiration from every social media forum I am active (or addicted) with, and it's always lovely to absorb great style ideas from fellow bloggers as well.

Since this post is long overdue, I'll be doing a recap of my crazy December so far.
I hope you enjoy~!

Although I'm not a big sports buff whatsoever, I still enjoy the energy of live sporting events.
So off we went to L.A. Live to the Staples Center for a Lakers game against the Denver Nuggets

Even though it's cold in LA, there's no reason why one always has to wear pants.
If I could wear shorts year round, I would.
So.. I did.
{Shorts: F21, Thermal & Tank: Old Navy, Ankle boots: F21, Leather Jacket: Zara}
Note the luggage above as I was off to San Diego right after the game.

Then it was off to San Diego to spend the weekend with one of my best friends.

One thing I really appreciate are my friends who know how to eat.
Which is exactly what I did all weekend in SD.
Japanese Ramen @ Santouka
This was inside a cute Japanese market where I found delightful bowls to use as jewelry holders.
A post of my vanity area will come later to showcase such things.

San Diego is a great weekend getaway for Los Angelenos.
I stayed in Downtown SD and it was a wonderful relief from real life at home.

On my way back up, I could not deny myself a little shopping spree at South Coast Plaza...

I found the perfect Christmas skirt at Madewell.

That weekend, I came home to a new member of our family:
Meet Sophie Lee.
Our new chihuahua-maltese mix.

Then it was back to work and work-friendly and fun wardrobe compilations:

{Green tweed shorts: M, Blouse: ON, Bow: ASOS, Cardigan: Gap, Leopard print flats: Steve Madden, Clutch: ASOS}
Preppy for the kick start of the week

{Sweater: Gap, Skirt: Planet Funk, Sunnies: Ray Bans, Fingerless Gloves: F21, Ankle Boots: MMC}
I always need at least one super colorful day of the week.

{Camouflage Shirt: Zara, Leather Shorts & Ankle Booties: MMC, Leopard print bag: Calvin Klein, Aviator sunnies: Oliver Peoples}
So... I'm still very much into the camo trend.
Can't stop won't stop.

{Chunky gold necklace: F21}

{Jersey dress: H&M, Sweater: ASOS, Boots: Jeffrey Campbell Litas}
I refuse to let go of all things summer: shorts & dresses.
So one must stay creative with keeping them in rotation.
I like to just throw a cropped sweater over it.

{Plaid shirt: JCrew, Leather Skirt: F21, Necklace: LA Fashion District, Sunnies: Gucci, Ankle Booties: F21}
Mixing plaid with leather and studs

This weekend is packed with fabulous dinners tomorrow and Saturday night that I'm waiting anxiously for!
Do you plan your outfits in advance to be stretchy when you anticipate gorging like I do?

Well, I hope you are all enjoying the crazy holiday times and find deep down within you, the patience to deal with parking lots at the mall.

And in reflection of 2012, and anticipating great things for 2013, don't forget to take some time to set goals for yourself, and remember...
