Hello friends!

Just a quick recap of Christmas this year.
I had the best Christmas thus far and it was truly a great time with my amazing family.
Love love love them.

This year, I decided to put all my Pinterest/Tumblr/Blogging craze to use and design and decorate our dinner setting for our dinner.

What started out as my idea for a red and gold theme, became... red, green and gold.
I kind of love it.

For the party favors, I filled little glass vases with mini ornaments and silver pine cones with a name card for specifying seating arrangement.

We typically split our parents from the crazy cousins and eat separately, but I really wanted the entire family together so we can eat, drink and be merry side by side- despite age range.

Our family has an issue with canines though.
So with the holidays, comes each family's 2-3 dogs that come to cause chaos during the entire holiday.

Our two new additions:
My little sister's new puppy Sophie

My cousin Marcus' new puppy Terry

We had amazing food throughout the entire day starting with my older sister's breakfast.
This is our Christmas miracle.. as most of her meals are typically frozen, thawed and then nuked in the microwave.

She pulled out the big guns for our breakfast:
Her blueberry buttons on our snowmen pancakes were adorable

My mother's 14 pound prime rib that is now all gone
We can eat.

Cinnamon walnut coffee cake
My mother. Is the best cook ever.

We played games, exchanged gifts, and most importantly just hung out.

And I leave you with my favorite gift of the night:
A new ring holder.

We have a week before we close the year and I hope you have a memorable time!
Live every day to its fullest!

Christmas Eve.

It's Christmas Eve and my favorite holiday of the year is almost here!

This week and weekend has been full of fabulous food and fashion.
I have been having so much fun sharing with all my friends and followers on Instagram.

And I have to say, I love the encouragement from fellow IGers!
Thank you!

What has now become a tradition I am fully committed to: my outfit of the day posts!

My friend Amanda said I was channeling Miami Vice chic.
I will take that as a compliment!

{Blazer & Ankle Boots: MMC, Denim Jeans: Zara, "Leave the Boy Alone" tank: Boy London, Sunnies: Gucci, Clutch: F21}

Tuesday was casual sweater day at work.
Because I needed it to be.
{Camouflage Pants: Zara, Sweater: Stussy, Lita Boots: Jeffrey Campbell}
Ladies, really, a sweater doesn't get any better for rainy day wear, right??

Later that night...
I stopped by my big sister's place to receive a belated birthday gift!
I love these rings!

Feeding into the feline trend.

{Denim Jeans & Chambray Shirt: Zara, Leather Jacket: Sans Succi, Wedges: Mossimo, Purse: Calvin Klein, Tiger Tank Top: Brandy Melville}

So I've recently started looking at Brandy Melville and I kind of love their tanks.

Warning: One size fits all btw o.O

Still not over the whole Batman thing.

{Sweater: Karssen, Denim jeans: Zara, Combat Boots: F21, Leather bag: Marie Turnor, Infiniti Scarf: H&M}
Late night snacking
In-N-Out the only way I can eat it!

Chocolate soufflè of my dreams

Saturday night was mom-daughter time!
I dressed up in festive gear for Handel's Messiah concert at the Disney Concert Hall with my mother.

But before the show, we stopped at Chaya for dinner and dessert:
Toro and rolls

Chocolate croissant bread pudding for dessert

And the concert was more amazing than I had expected!

Sunday was outing day with my little sister!

We went to 800 Degrees in Westwood for some pizza, burrata and salad

My two matching items of the day.
My new favorite Ray Bans and my iPhone 5.

{Leather Jacket: Love Story, Denim: Zara, Tank Top: Brandy Melville, Wedges: Mossimo}
Can you tell how excited I am about the parking ticket I just got?
Gets. Me. Every. Time.

And this concludes another week in my closet!

Tomorrow starts the craziness of Christmas Eve and the preparations for the big day with the entire family/clan.

I'm so excited to spend quality time with relatives and enjoy the food, company and chaos that will undoubtedly ensue.

I hope you all enjoy this Christmas week be it with friends or family- as long as it's loved ones.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas.

Almost There!

Hi friends!
I have officially started Christmas shopping and decorating so the festive excitement of Christmas has set in.

I wish I could say I prepare for such things way in advance so as not to cause a frenzy, but I masochistically revel in the stress induced chaos of the holidays.

So the decorations committee of one (me!) has begun strewing red and gold themed shenanigans all over the house and driving my family a little crazy.

When you decorate your place, do you have a scheme in mind? Or is it whatever goes?

I'm good as long as there are no elves.
They scare me.

Holiday parties are the highlight of the overall insanity of the end of the year.
I attended my first one two weekends ago and dressed very non-holiday-ish (for now).

{Sweater: ASOS, Shorts: F21, Ankle Boots: MMC}

There's something so comfortable about a gray crewneck sweater.
You'll be seeing some more fun variations of gray crewnecks I've been collecting.
I just can't get enough.

And on to my IG outfit post of the day from last week!

{Blazer: Gap, Batman Shirt: Target, Pants: F21, Heels: Zara}
Lately, I've been really into graphic t-shirts.
Although girl t-shirts are fun in their own rights, I find the men's section more to my liking.
The key is to find the extra-small size and roll up the sleeves.

This outfit came after I watched Dark Knight.
I don't know how you can't be inspired after seeing him:

{Sweater: H&M, Leather leggings: Michael Kors, Heels: 2020Ave, Bag: Furla, Sunnies: Ray Bans}
There's something so French and cute about stripes and red.
One of my favorite combinations.

{Khaki skinnies & Men's brown bag: Zara, Chambary shirt: MC, Fuchsia sweater: J. Crew, Leopard Print Flats: Steve Madden
Depending on the weather, and mood, you can opt to keep your outfit earthy or colorful

I love that statement necklace.
You will see it again.

{Skinnies: Zara, Quilted leather jacket: Love Story, Jeffrey Campbell Litas, Neon Green wristlet: Gap, and I honestly don't remember where I got that camo scarf and beanie}
I'm not sure if my male audience is substantial or not, but girl secret: bad hair day? Throw on a beanie and call it a day!

Seriously magical.

{Gold skinnies: Love Story, White Blouse & Necklace: Foreign Exchange, Heels: 2020Ave}
Friday was my annual Christmas party for my staff at work.
To dress the part, you can opt for shimmery gold pants and jewelry to look Christmas-y but not using your typical red and greens.

{Faux fur coat: MMC, Leather top: Macy's, Black skinnies: Zara, Clutch: ASOS, Heels: Zara}
Saturday night was a fabulous dinner out in Beverly Hills with my parents.
Mastro's for a steak dinner means... you need to wear something with a roomy top so you can breathe and eat easy.
You know what I'm saying?

Dinner was yummy and the poor lighting in the steakhouse proved difficult to take an amazing picture.
My apologies.

When I decided to roll on out of bed, it was time to bundle up again for the rain and some brunch with my little sister.

{Red leather jacket: F21, Gray Skinnies: 7ForAllMankind, Scarf: Old Navy, Clutch & Ankle Boots: F21

And that concludes one week in the life of my closet.

With the last round of holiday dinners and parties this weekend, and a concert at the Disney Concert Hall in downtown, this weekend is going to wrap up so wonderfully to a beautiful Christmas celebration.

I can't wait!!

I hope you all enjoy this last week before the big holiday.
