Ensenada.

This has been a week of playing catch-up for me, what about you?
After my Thanksgiving weekend on a cruise in Ensenada, a delay in a post is allowed I hope!

Without further adieu...
Thanksgiving morning consisted of me staring at my empty luggage suitcase and wanting brunch with my bestie.
{Boots: MMC}
I cannot remember the last time it was cold enough to wear pants in Los Angeles for Thanksgiving

Spruced up for the family gathering for our very non-traditional dinner before we embarked
{Brown linen skirt: MMC, White tank: H&M, brown belt & headband: BP, Ankle Boots: MMC & Clutch: Kate Spade & Garance Dore collaboration}

Our very non-traditional Thanksgiving dinner:
 Steak, salmon, bruschetta and caprese kabobs

Packing is always arduous as I without fail, always want to pack my entire closet if I am to stay somewhere beyond 24 hours.

So getting ready to board a ship with heavy duty luggage and 20 family members required a very casual and comfortable outfit
{Rolling Stones T-shirt: Target, Denim Shorts: F21, Sunnies: LA Fashion District, Red Converse}

And off we go!

My little sister & I
Ain't she a cutie?

We were allowed one bottle of vino from home.
We took advantage of such generosity.

{Romper: F21}
Day 2

Cousins galore and le photo bomber in the back

My sisters & I plus our fabulous cousins from Denver on our way off the boat and into Ensenada, Mexico

My souvenir for myself

Ensenada Plaza

And then it's time to get back on da boat
My sisters & I

Night of our formal dinner
Little black dress with a little bit of lace

Family means the world to me
And so does this cousin of mine
Narie & I

I'll miss you boo!

{Denim Jacket: AE, Tank: H&M, Black sheer slit maxi skirt: Zara
Day 3
And definitely reaching cabin fever status

My only relief?
Chocolate cake and lattes.
Works. Every. Time.

Although a little R&R is nice, I was ready to get back to Los Angeles and land.
As much as people moan about the daily grind, I for one, missed everything about my daily grind.

...especially my limitless wifi.
Good God my phone bill!

It's been fun doing a daily outfit pic for my followers and friends on Instagram so please feel free to follow @PrettyStems for some inspiration!

Tuesday
Felt compelled to combine neon + leather from Vanessa, the lovely blogger of The Haute Pursuit
{Neon Green Sweater: Target (right?!), Leather Skirt: Planet Funk, Studded Ankle Boots: MMC, Marc Jacobs Wristlet, Necklace: F21

Wednesday
Combining camo + leather in my new Michael Kors leggings and Jeffrey Campbell heels I kind of sort of am obsessed with.
{Camo jacket: Old Navy, Leather leggings: Michael Kors, High Heels: Jeffrey Campbell}

Thursday
Rainy day weather can't slow fashion down
{Leather Jacket & Studded Boots: Zara, Jersey Dress: H&M, Denim Vest: BP, Gray knit scarf: F21}
Again, my favorite combination of black leather, gray and denim

I'm off to the lovely city of San Diego for the weekend... but not before a Laker Game with some ladies I love.
Updates to come!

In the meantime, have a fabulous weekend yourselves!
Here's a little tidbit of inspiration on my mind as the year winds down...

We do not exist as lone beings despite the isolation we may feel at times.
So remember, every day we touch lives.
It's only right we try to make beautiful connections while we're here.

Stussy.

This morning as I was putting le outfit together, I realized how important it is to remain inspired be it with fashion, work, love- all areas of your life.

Without inspiration, we grow tired and things that you once loved become mundane.
Although social media has its pros and cons, overall, I'm so grateful for this developing medium that keeps me on fire for all things fashion and gives me an outlet to share it with those who care.

On that note, today's inspiration came from at least a decade ago when Stussy was really the hottest thing to wear.

{Chambray Shirt: MC, Stussy shirt, oxblood leather shorts: ASOS, necklace: fashion district, ring: Cheap Monday, bracelet: F21, Wedges: MakeMeChic}

 The cyclical nature of fashion is comforting.

{Pics posted also on Instagram @Prettystems}

This also makes me a terrible hoarder as I insist I cannot let go of items as I am convinced that it {whatever "it" is} will come back.

Inspiration today came from...
Thinking of getting my shirt in gray now...

Oxblood.
This color is going to be THE COLOR of fall/winter.

I hope you all have a great Monday.
I'm sure this short week will be quick!
In the meantime, try to enjoy your days by filling them with laughter.
God bless my friends and family who keep me cracking up.

Shine.

I don't know if it's the Nasty Gal lookbook I'm still not over, or the overall trending of all things silver, but I'm a little obsessed to put it mildly.

Silver pants...

Silver jacket...

Silver pleated skirt...
See?
I knew it'd be a big deal.

Silver clutch

And last but not least, silver shoes!

Still obsessed with these Alexander Wang's
I die

Egad!
Really, Alexander Wang does silver best.

Okay, one more week till Thanksgiving and my eminent trip to Ensenada on a cruise with my fambam.
I'm sure the holiday craze has struck us all!
Let's enjoy our last weekend before time launches into fast-forward mode.

Lookbook.

Nowadays, companies must put out monthly lookbooks to showcase their current line, and as an avid fan of editorials, I can't say that I mind.

It's like a digital mini-magazine that shows up in your email almost daily if you've subscribed to as many as I have and sometimes, they get lost in the shuffle, but once in a while, a really good one will catch my eye.

And it's on that note that I say my goodness Nasty Gal, you did an amazing job with your November images!

This one's my fav.
I'm not even a fan of mesh but this makes me feel like I must own this RIGHT. NOW.

Slowly getting the itch... I think I'm going to need a metallic pleated skirt soon.
NEED!

I mean... it's kind of amazing don't you think??

Alrighty, well I'm sorry I'm lagging on my own blog posts, but I've relapsed into Instagram mode again (I know!).

I'm doing outfit posts and pics so follow me there too!
@PrettyStems

And when time permits, I do my own little outfit inspiration pics:
Inspired by Opening Ceremony's varsity jackets.

But it is far too warm here in LA for November.
I couldn't even wear the darn thing.
90 degrees!

This was yesterday's election day inspired patriotic themed outfit

This weekend I'll be out on the town with my camera in hand so do expect a post soon!

Have a fabulous day friends & followers!
