Sometimes I get random bouts of style inspiration.
I don't question where it comes from or why.
Because we can all use some excitement with our wardrobe sometimes...

Sleek and simple

With some jewelry to match:
Yes please!

YSL... slowly but surely coming up in my favorite top 3 designers

Simply because I can't stand limitations in wardrobe, I yearn for the winter in the summertime, summer heat during winter storms.

When really I just want to be able to flex the versatility of my entire wardrobe on any given day.
Am I being too greedy?

I have the perfect pair of leather leggings I can't wait to pull out with a gray knitted sweater, a chambray shirt and my faux fur tail to latch onto my bag.

But for now...
I'm thinking this will be tomorrow's casual Wednesday office look

And to switch things up
I know it's early, but my birthday is coming up.
And I am already giggling at the ideas that have crossed my mind as to what theme to make my dinner party.

Last year's was a pastel, lace or floral tea party.
Applicable to both men & women.

How about...
Perhaps floral in jewel hues?

Oh the possibilities...
I hope you're having a lovely start to your week!

What is it about Sundays and beautiful weather that make me so reluctant to do anything productive besides eating and lounging?

Today was the end to yet another memorable summer weekend and my sisters and I decided to have lunch, coffee and dessert in Larchmont.

{Sweater: F21, Shorts: ASOS, Sunnies: Oliver Peoples}

After a very short stroll with my little sister, we decided on Larchmont Bungalow for some yumminess
This week was the last week of DineLA and I honestly made up for missing the first leg of it by overindulging this weekend.

You can check out my gluttonous feasting via Instagram

For a casual yet summery look, I reach for the must-have gray sweatshirt with my favorite peach shorts.

Still not over the neon nails.

Currently fixated on rose gold jewelry and on the hunt for the perfect rose gold watch.

Today, it hit me that the entire first half of 2012 just flew by.
I was overwhelmed with gratitude for the blessings these past seven months brought.
How has the past 6-7 months changed you?

With a heart full of gratitude, I realized... there is still so much good work to do in the second half.
It is with this exciting thought that I bid you goodnight!
Let's have an amazing week~

Oh San Francisco...

I keep thinking one day, I'll have had enough with this city.
But every time I go, I keep finding more reasons to fall in love with San Francisco.

Two steps outside our hotel @ Hotel Union Square on Powell

Getting ready to walk around in what had to be the best weather ever

My little sister & I

Amanda and I on our first SF trip together!

Getting distracted on our way to brunch
"Can we just have a party where you have to wear a mini-hat as an accessory? On my hair?"
We entered a store that rivaled the vintage monstrosity on The Sweetest Thing

For brunch, we had to go to La Boulange for my favorite open face smoked turkey sandwich with greens

Almond croissants that make me think of Annabelle (with love!)

My friends Cynthia & Amanda as we headed over to Mission Street to see the murals

In LA, I have yet to ever step foot on public transportation simply because of the fact that we drive everywhere.
So taking the bus to our next destination was a treat in itself.
Simple pleasures!

Precious best friend moment.

The murals on Mission Street

Dolores Park
I was so delighted to see how many people just go to... simply be at the park.
Planning a picnic with friends!

Again, getting distracted on the way around the city this time with Amanda

And casual wear for a night out at Infusion Lounge

And to finish off the perfect weekend in San Fran with my favorite women in my life, I had to seal the deal with my token road trip must-have's:
an M&M McFlurry and small fries.

As we arrived back in Los Angeles, my friends assessed I most definitely consumed 4 ice creams within 48 hours.

So now it's time to tackle this week in anticipation for another great summer weekend ahead~

Sunny Side Up.

To my delight, this weekend was clear of any events or engagements that would tie me down to any time frames and any sense of urgency.

So when you live in Los Angeles, and it's the middle of July, you must take advantage of the beach that is a short drive away...

My beach of choice: Zuma Beach, Malibu
Lifeguard Tower #9

Two must-have's: Harper's Bazaar + sunnies.
{Sunnies: Oliver People's}

For simplicity, I go to my black on black beachwear

Me + my little sister

Playing in the ocean always makes me beyond hungry.
My Instagram'd Kilaui burger

Then for a girl's night out in downtown LA, it was time to have drinks and laughs with my two fabulous friends Cynthia & Amanda.
Can you guess which one are mine?
{My black glitter heels: Zara}

We spend our night at Perch looking down at Pershing Square and loving the city lights on a summer night

Sunday afternoon, I enjoyed sister time at Artisan House
And I am addicted to Instagram and Picfx, can you tell?
{Follow me: Jessicamiyunlee}

My ham breakfast sandwich on sourdough bread and two perfect eggs sunny side up!

My adorable sisters. Looking so lovely~

And a wonderful end to a perfect weekend!

Although LA will always be home, I cannot wait for this upcoming weekend where I can return to the city that has my heart...

Oh San Francisco.
I am counting down the days till we take you by storm.

So friends, I hope you had an amazing weekend!
Let's embrace this week and work hard to play even harder.

It is definitely the peak of summer in terms of temperatures over here.
Which makes me crave a sweet tangy tangerine color in my wardrobe palette...

Crisp cuffed pants

A fun geometric skirt

Miroslava Duma

Cambridge Satchel
Still in love with this.

And my favorite runway moment with this perfect shade of tangerine orange:
 Jil Sander

Well, it's definitely Friday

What lovely weekend activities do you have lined up?

This weekend will be spontaneous as my schedule finally has absolutely nothing on it.

Have a lovely weekend!
