Oscars.

Is it me, or are the Oscars losing its luster?
I'm glad I'm invested emotionally in the fashion.
Because there's always something to ooo and ahh about:

Gwenyth Paltrow in Tom Ford
Love everything about this.

One of my favorites was Jessica Chastain's Alexander McQueen gown

And Kristen Wiig's J. Mendel number
She looks so pretty!

There's just no doubt... Pharrell was the best dressed.
Did you see him on the drums?

The power couple.
By the way, did you hear how Angelina's leg now has its own Twitter account after this Versace gown?
True story.

I like them together.
George & Stacy wearing Marchesa

Natalie Portman in Dior Haute Couture with Benjamin Millepied

Melissa McCarthy & Ben Falcone
I had no idea they were married!
And... her best friend?
Brian Atwood.

So these were the photos I loved and the fashion I could definitely appreciate from tonight's awards show.
Who did you think was the best dressed?

Primary.

Hello my dears!
The Oscars are tonight.. are you watching?

I watched a bit of the red carpet fashion and I'm excited to bring you some of my favorites.

The weekend weather has been true to LA form- gorgeous.
So here's a bit of sunshine and color for you:

 {Dress: ASOS, Jacket: AE, Sunnies: Ray Bans}

There's nothing like a knitted dress to keep you comfortable on a Sunday afternoon.

 {Bag: Furla Candy Bag}

{Wedges: Jeffrey Campbell}

I absolutely LOVE these wedges.
Incredibly comfortable.
And of course, by my favorite shoe designer.
How could I not?

Have a fabulous weekend!

Accents.

I believe inspiration can come from any facet of life.

Lately, my mind has been drawn to details in a house.
But not just any house.
In a home.

Detailed moulding.

A big white bright kitchen with an endless stream of sunshine.
I swear I'd cook and bake all day.

An office with room to breathe.

A reading room to get lost in.

Peonies for floral arrangements.

Putting this post together made me smile.
It's the simplest things that bring us the greatest joys.

I hope you are enjoying your week!

Inspiration.

Although there are plenty of other things that should occupy my mind, tonight we're all going out to celebrate my sister's birthday and I am fearing the cold weather.

I stumbled on this picture and felt compelled to show you:

It's just the perfect way to wear a camel coat.
I must brace myself for tonight.

Anna Sui.

Fantasy land continues with Anna Sui!

I must have a pair of these tights.

 And the green boots.

 And that skirt.

And here's a little romance.
I love look #4!

More to come friends!
How's your weekend so far?

Oscar de la Renta.

When Fashion Week makes its way to the States, you know I have to report back on Oscar de la Renta.
It's a MUST.

The colors and styles take me back to my childhood when I so desperately wanted to play dress up.

Not a huge fan of pink... but Daphne rocked look #4.

 Tweed.

My favorite dramatic casual yet glam looks.

And of course...
The Gowns.

Confection heaven!
And on my favorite model Liu Wen!

Layers and layers of tulle...

Overall, it was a nice little trip to a child's fantasy land where she cannot decide between wanting to wear something to transform her into her elegant mother or a pristine princess.

Either way, I love both.
Again, you can do no wrong Oscar de la Renta.

Casual.

So this weekend has been full of fun times with friends so I had to take it easy this afternoon and keep things casual.

{Jacket: Old Navy, Shirt: Melrose, Jeans: True Religion, Booties: CR}

Have you been keeping an eye on NYFW?
So much beauty to show you!

Have fun watching the Grammy's tonight.
I'm sure we're all looking forward to the Whitney Houston tribute.
May she rest in peace & power.

Peter Som.

New York Fashion Week is in full effect!

I'm here to highlight some of my favorites.
So far, I really appreciate Peter Som's simple and as they say 'palette cleansing' collection for the Fall.

The lines are so clean and feminine.

Soft structure

I love the first look.

I would love it as a blouse.
And the raincoat in the second look.

Maroon.
Love.

Dark green.
MY FAVORITE.

And then.. I saw this...
Oh. Em. Gee.
I would wear it every day.
And I would sleep in it too.

Hats off to Peter Som!
I loved it~!

WSA.

Hi friends!

So this weekend was a whirlwind of shoes, shoes and more shoes.

With an unending industry catering to shoe-lovers everywhere, it was my dream to one day design and create beautiful shoes for ladies all over the world.

And today, my dream has come true as now, you are officially looking at a freelance women's shoe designer!

I am beyond excited to start this journey and trust you will be with me along every step of the way.

This week is the WSA show in Vegas where buyers and sellers are amongst millions of shoes at the Sands Expo at Palazzo.
I'm back in LA after day 1, and honestly, it was overwhelming- but I wouldn't trade that experience for anything...

A true friend is one who doesn't merely say yes to taking you to LAX on a Sunday morning, but offers.
Thank you Cyn!

So step 1 of becoming a shoe designer:
Research.

Research = Shopping.

If there was a heaven on earth, this would be it.

Honestly, how cute is that?

 Yes please.

 A la Fashion Show Mall

It was a beautiful weekend in Vegas.

The show.

My assistant, Jason.
Okay fine he's my design partner.

The company went with an Alice in Wonderland theme for our booth.
I love it!

{Blazer: Foreign Exchange, Pants: Zara, Belt: ASOS, Shirt: ON, Shoes: Bumper}
Working hard or hardly working?

 Tea for two.

Christina, fellow designer, in her reds.

After a full day at WSA Day 1, I had to fly on home but not before a stroll through Palazzo.

2012 is the year of the Dragon.
According to Chinese beliefs, this is to be the luckiest year in the zodiac calendar.

So far, my 2012 has been amazing.
I can't wait to continue this journey!

Happy Tuesday friends.
