I love sequins.

San Francisco.

As promised, an over-indulgent food escapade in the city with my heart.

 Pier 39 yummies

Fish tacos

 Fried Calamari

 The best almond croissants from La Boulange

 Open faced turkey & smoked salmon sandwich

 Hamachi shots at 5A5

The Tomahawk at 5A5

And a very merry Christmas wish from Union Square.

I'm back from San Francisco!

The weather was amazing and I survived in a single pair of combat boots all weekend.

But unfortunately, I don't have too many pictures of moi, but I do have tons of FOOD.
I'll post those tomorrow.

Today's big burst of sunshine came when my favorite shoe designer Jeffrey Campbell did a feature of me in their blog!!

You will find me in my spiked Litas at the THREADshow featured here.

I couldn't be more excited!!!

It only makes my obsession grow stronger...

I hope you all had a great Monday!
More posts to come this week friends.

Thank You.

Although this holiday doesn't suffice for all the thanks we need to give daily, I'll use this as an opportunity to dedicate this post to all of you who visit my site.

Thank you for sharing in the joy of beauty in our world with me-

Whether it's a pair of shoes

A gorgeous gown

Or a bundle of peonies

I'm off now to San Francisco to enjoy some down time.
I'm doing the entire weekend in one pair of combat boots.
Wish me luck!

I hope you have all enjoyed your Thanksgiving festivities with your loved ones.

Thank you for supporting Pretty Stems.

See you soon!

I See Red.

"When in doubt wear red."
-Bill Blass

It was cold and raining all day today in Los Angeles.
Normally, I'd rather stay swathed in my oversized sweats and snuggle up with a good book and some tea... but I didn't want a predictable day.

So why not have some fun with the dreary weather and amp up the color outside with some red faux fur?

{Fur: INC, Pants: MMC, Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell, Bag: Furla}

My little sister and I stopped by Alcove Cafe in Los Feliz for some brunch before doing some shopping.

As a recently converted pescatarian, I thought it would be incredibly difficult to eat out.
But seek and you shall find!

Apricot and Jasmine tea
Apricot: -2 for being sour

But you can't be wasteful.

My bean + bean + bean salad
It's very do-able.

After our cozy brunch, it was clear that the only reasonable thing to do next was to keep dry and warm....
Inside the Beverly Center.

Turns out today wasn't unpredictable at all...

I shall now leave you now with my favorite weekend goodie of mine!
{Ankle booties: River Island}

I hope you all had a lovely weekend despite the cold weather.
[I know for Angelenos, the weather toys with our emotions]

Let's have a fantastic week now with Thanksgiving on its way...
Hooray for a 3-day week!

Love you all!

I can't explain it.
I just really like it these days.

 Alexander Wang
I must have these.

 On the streets:

That's it.
I am going to get me some pretty silver pieces.

Looking as beautiful as ever for InStyle Mag.

Today was the THREADshow at the Cooper Building in downtown LA.

With perfect weather and a full day of free time, it was exactly how I wanted to spend my Sunday with my little sister aka my assistant.

Cocktails at 11 AM?

I love the colors of these scarves.

All day.

We all do it.

My little sister rummaging.

Accessories made from Legos.

I love that girl's expression!
Cool team of people with the Lego art.

Bike jewelry.
Very creative!

Vintage-y rings

I just had to.

Morbid cards.
They were really cute though!

The view from the 11th floor.

{Jacket & Jeans: Zara, Shirt: American-Made, Bag: UO, Sunnies: gifted}
Done with our morning activities!

{Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell}

My favorite shoes these days.
Can't get enough of them.

They are amazingly comfortable.

{Ring: YSL}
Cobalt blue.

{Ring, Watch, Bangles: Michael Kors}

Take note: You never pay full price at Santee Alley.
Gotta haggle.

Bottega Louie for brunch

Choices choices...

Toast & Jelly
Aren't the jelly colors beautiful?

Fresh squeezed orange juice

Now I know Bottega's known for their beautiful macaroon display, but for taste value, we went to La Provence Patisserie & Cafe for some yummy macaroons and tea to end a fun filled day.

And they were AMAZING!

I can't wait to go to Paris.

Have a fabulous night friends!
Much love.
