Don't you just love it when you get an email that says:
"We have shipped your package. It will be arriving in [x] days."

Wanna see what's headed my way?

I know I said I'd stop... but...
Lita keeps calling my name.
And I must answer...

Just like these lovely ladies did.

With the fun shape and the fact that it's my favorite JC, how can you resist?!
I can't wait to get them in this fun purple shade next!

I'm feeling very good vibes from all the colors of the spring.

So even though it was rainy and miserable all week, as soon as I saw the sun peeking out from the clouds this morning, I said today is the day for color blocking.

[Pants & Sweater: Zara, Bag: Furla, Sunnies: from a boutique in SF]

Sundays are my one day where I can enjoy a meal with my sisters in LA and gush all the happenings in our lives over a delicious meal and an abundance of inside jokes and giggles.

Today's delight?
Raspberry lemonade a la Grand Lux Cafe in the Beverly Center

Fried calamari and vegetables

Sometimes the food just looks so pretty.

Crazy sale going on right now at the Topanga Mall.
Doesn't my little sister look adorable??
So cute.

Have a fabulous Monday!

Alexander McQueen.

I know I'm very late on the Fall 2011 RTW collections, but just now having time to browse through the collections, it's time to highlight my favorites from Alexander McQueen.

I must have that fur hoodie on the right.

Alexandra Taylor.

Hello my dears!
So I’ve had the pleasure of meeting New York fashion designer Alexandra Taylor.

Fashion is always fun, but it’s even more meaningful when we can find a cause for it as well.

Alexandra Taylor has teamed up with the United Nations Foundation’s Nothing But Nets campaign, and created her own line of original printed scarves (made out of net material!).

The patterns are colorful and unique (perfect for color blocking this Spring) and the urban look of the scarves will pair perfectly with any of your casual T’s and denim.

Portions of the net-profits go to Nothing But Nets.

Shop for a cause ladies.
And look fabulous while you’re at it.

For more information on Alexadra’s ready-to-wear line, look here.
And follow her blog which showcases her eco-friendly world-conscious work and inspiration.

San Francisco.

This past weekend I drove away to my city.
Outside of our hotel where we get to wake up to the sounds of trolleys, clanking glass and sirens mixed with the rain.
It's a far cry from the deadpan silence of suburbia.

Then it was off to Castro where we dined with new friends over bottomless mimosas and delectable French food.

A ham & cheese sandwich at Bisou.
The fries being served in the bright yellow colander made me smile.

Our newest little treasure we explored and pillaged with our credit cards:
Haight & Ashbury.

It is beyond me how anyone finds parking on a regular basis around here.

Upon arriving at our hotel, I regretfully realized that I left all my coats in my bedroom!
So I had no choice... but to get some new ones.

[new red coat: Ideali]
We only got to experience a handful of streets due to the downpour that signaled me to put away the wallet.
But we will be back in April (for one of my besties' wedding!!) to really soak it all in sans the rain hopefully.

That way, even my candy bags can come out to play.
Today, my blue one made its debut to the world.

So fun!

Elizabeth Taylor.

One of the most beautiful women in the world.
Rest in peace.

I cannot ignore the frequent sightings of Furla's new Candy bags.

I cannot ignore my want for 3.
Therefore, I have joined forces with my shopping partner-in-crime Annabelle, and together, we have now in our possession, our own collection of the new Candy bags.

{Le Blog de Betty}

I have the transparent mango-yellow, red and blue.
I can't wait to show you!

In lieu of Spring, my mother requested me to accompany her on a trip to Santa Barbara for an International Orchid Festival.

I cannot say it was the most exhilarating event I attended, but I did get to see some beautiful flowers and spend quality time with my beautiful mother.

I love my mom.

Kate Lanphear.

Kate Lanphear

So I spotted these adorable Louboutin ankle booties.
And I found my own rendition of them and wore them out to a lunch date with my sisters this Sunday!

Military is always fun.

I will always make time for those I love.
No matter how busy life gets.
Today's special someone:
So off to coffee heaven we go.

Annabelle always encourages me to wear my hair down.
However, I'm always reluctant to wear it right after showering due to its volume and waves.
But... it's time to embrace it already.

 [Shirt: NY Lerner, Belt: Vintage]

Texting you.

After my quickie coffee date, I drove to work only to find a lovely surprise!

My shoes came!!

Don't you just love it when the UPS guy pulls up?

Where is Spring?

Friday, March 4, 2011

Remember Jil Sander Spring 2011?
Those pink pants are now spilling onto the streets and making me reconsider my general dislike of this particular shade.

 {Mr. Newton}

{Gary Pepper Vintage}

It's a nice pop of color for spring.
Hmm... time to take a lookey...
