San Francisco.

I have fallen madly in love.
With the city of San Francisco.

Being a San Jose native, I've been up here many times.
But there seems to be something about the vibe of this city that has now completely captured me.

= = =

I skipped on out of LA this Superbowl weekend to enjoy a much needed mini trip that quickly became one of my most memorable trips up here:

[Wedges: Bamboo]

Waiting for my friend Avery to beat traffic and locate me in Union Square despite her dying phone.
Who better to hang out with while waiting than my roomies who I can't seem to get enough of.

After scarfing down a mysteriously creamy pastry and a double shot of espresso at the little stand in Union Square, Avery found me!

Fast forward after lunch and mimosas, it was abundantly clear:
It was time to shop.

Now, I made a resolution not to shop, but a last-minute amendment was made and it now became:
No shopping in Los Angeles.

(Plus, sales tax is cheaper in SanFran so technically, I'm saving)
This might be a reason why I am returning shortly.

With Avery being more of a Niketown sort of gal, while I was more of the entire Market Street kind of shopper, we said our goodbyes and went our separate ways.

At that point, I probably should've called it a day...
The city and all its glorious shops were calling my name!

I love how people here walk to get to their destinations.
I also cannot believe we did not drive a vehicle anywhere for 2 straight days.

Taking a short little break to rest my feet.
I clearly underestimated the angle of the slopes and its consequences while walking all day around town.

The rest of our day was dedicated to relaxing while perusing through stores and finding a Starbucks.

Did I mention, the weather gods came together to grant me a beautiful weekend here?

80 degrees.
Can't beat that.

Mixed with c;ear skies with the Golden Gate?
How could you not fall in love?

= = =

But the top 5 highlights of my weekend have to be:
1.) Traveling with and seeing my true friends, where time and distance mean absolutely nothing.
2.) Roaming the empty streets at 3 AM with new friends trying to locate the nearest Del Taco while purposely not using a navigation system. (Why did we even try?)

3.)  Toasting one too many shots and sweating it out on a dancefloor with no respect for personal space or age limit for attendees.

4.) Exploring just how much space the inside of a Chrysler has and can handle.

5.) Being able to take a breather, as short as it was, from the non stop busy-ness that life back in LA brings and has now once again commenced.

= = =

I'm more convinced than ever that I want to return to my roots sometime soon.

But for now, we'll take it one step at a time.
See you in March.
